Lone Tree homes tend to be larger, with walkout basements, sloped lots and front yards that set the tone for the whole street. The projects we do here are about finishing those spaces properly. Here are four recent projects our crew completed in Lone Tree: a walkout concrete patio with wide steps, a front yard with new sod and a lighted stone wall, a stone fire pit, and a new front walk with concrete steps.

1. Walkout Concrete Patio & Wide Steps
This large brick home had a covered walkout level under the upper deck, but the ground around it was uneven. We poured a new concrete patio across the full walkout, under the deck and out past the brick columns into the yard, with clean control joints so it stays crack-free. At the side of the house we built a set of wide concrete steps that climb along the brick wall to the upper yard.

2. Front Yard Sod & Lighted Stone Wall
For this brick two-story, the front yard needed a full refresh. We laid fresh sod across the whole front lawn, set large concrete stepping pads from the driveway to the porch, and built a low stone retaining wall along the planting bed with built-in lights under the cap. At night the wall lights up the beds and the walk to the front door.

3. Round Stone Fire Pit
A round fire pit with a stone veneer and a smooth cap, with a view of the sunset over the hills. It’s the kind of feature that turns a patio into the spot everyone ends up at.

4. Front Walk with Concrete Steps
This home sits well above the sidewalk. We built a straight concrete walk with a series of steps up to the porch, and framed the slope on both sides with block retaining walls and river rock.

Built for Lone Tree Yards
Lone Tree’s clay soil, sloped lots and freeze-thaw winters are hard on outdoor projects that aren’t built right. On every job we plan for that:
- A compacted base and proper control joints so concrete patios, walks and steps don’t crack or settle.
- Retaining walls built on a solid base to hold slopes and create level space.
- Drainage that moves water away from the house, with rock borders, grading and slope on every hard surface.
- Finishing details like wall lighting, stepping pads and fresh sod so the yard looks complete.
